This example is excellent with really very little wear. There is no aerial but it does have a complete tin hook. This is the second issue of the Land Rover in army khaki finish. The first was an export edition in 1963 for the States and designated as #500 US Army Land Rover.

This is the second issue of the Land Rover in army khaki finish. The first was an export edition in 1963 for the States and designated as #500 US Army Land Rover. In 1965 production was started afresh with a different window unit now being fitted which lacked the 'frame' in the rear window and the star transfers are distinctly white rather than cream. Both red and lemon interiors are used for the #357 models.
This example is excellent with really very little wear. There are small chips at the front corners and along the top edge of the rear section but that's about all. There is no aerial but it does have a complete tin hook. The base is clean and the model has not been handled too much so retains some of its original matt finish. Unfortunately, once natural oil from one's hands or attempts at cleaning have started to darken the khaki colour and make it a little more shiny too there is not much that can be done.
A nice example.
