December 1962 - 1965
Was launched with 'glidomatic' spring suspension and an interior for a Series Two Land Rover (includes seats and steering wheel).
This is a lovely original and complete example. I think that its an early example with a type 1 open jib.
It comes with the original early (metal) detachable rear canopy, compete with roof mounted spotlight. The tow rope is wound using the side mounted spare wheel and still works well. The towing hook is included, but the original yellow cotton tow rope is broken and needs to be reattached. The original Breakdown Service decals are present, but scratched and the Corgi logo is missing from each side.
The Land Rover is in good but playworn condition. The original red paint is bright, but has multiple paint chips (please see photos). There are also a number of original decals. The wheels are the shaped type and the suspension seems to work well.
