Dinky Toys No. 208 V.W./Porsche 914 Sports Car with Speedwheels. The model is in flawless original condition with no touch-up or replacement parts whatsoever. As a collector for over 50 years I am not an easy grader. Most of my models are near-mint as I seem to always find some minor flaw, but not here. From the age hardened tires on the cast aluminum Speedwheels, to the beautiful bright yellow body and black interior with white steering wheel, you will be hard pressed to find a better example of this model. Both doors work properly as does the front hood/luggage compartment. Both of the registration numbers (K-HK 454) are perfect. I've never removed it from the base, so the base plate is perfect as well. This model displays makes for a stunning display!
The original box is in equally perfect with no defects such as the all too often seen cracks or scuffs. In all a great box for an even greater model.
In summary a great acquisition for the Dinky, Porsche or sports cars of the 1970's This model was purchased from a closed toy shop by me in 2004 and stored since. It will not disappoint the most fastidious collector.
