This Packard model car is in Good Used condition. When I bought it the seller described it as new, but I knew better. All the factory straps that prevent the hood and doors from flopping open and closed during shipping had been removed. Which means the car has been removed from the box and the hood and doors have been utilized. Probably even been displayed so no longer can be considered “newâ€. The Packard has all parts. The mirrors on the side-mounted spares, the door and hood handles and even the delicate hood ornament are present. The headlights, front fender running lights and taillights have all their lenses.
The model has a couple flaws. When shipped to me I requested the seller either tie or tape down the hood and doors. Seller complied but failed to hold down the passenger side hood, resulting in a paint chip on the hood near the hinge and a broken mirror. After cursing a bit, I repaired the mirror with superglue. Not a bad job if I say so myself. When you buy these fragile models, parts sometimes fall off and you have to be willing to glue them back. Note the driver side front door tends to swing open instead of staying closed. Glue would fix that too but will leave that to the new owner!
Selling because I’m downsizing to a house with less storage space. Look closely at the photos as they are an important part of the description. Photos show the exact model you will receive. Ask any questions before buying since there are no returns. Model will be carefully packed and all opening parts secured by ribbon ties or low-stick painter’s tape.
