The Lotus Elan S2 (Corgi 318) was only relatively short in the program and was introduced in 1965, but was set back two years later. It had a lifting hood (which opened to reveal a detailed, chrome -plated engine), a driver figure in racing overall and helmet, as well as tiltable seats and side windows that could be raised or lowered. Originally there were four small number stickers, so we also produced four small stickers !!! The popular Esso advertising slogan was emblazoned on a trunk sticker "I've got a tiger in my tank".
