Vintage Corgi Firebird Convertible, RARE '70 RED DOT WHEELS #343, 1:43 NEAR MINT

CONDITION DESCRIPTION: This NICE AND CLEAN, 1970 Corgi Pontiac Firebird Convertible, Model 343 has very little play wear and it is in NEAR MINT CONDITION. This RARE, FIRST EDITION, GEM, with its gleaming silver paint, red spot wheels and jeweled headlights, is a REAL LOOKER!  It has been very well taken care of for the last 50 years!!  The paint is nearly perfect from bumper to bumper with only a couple small nicks. The front and rear bumpers have only slight chrome loss and are still shiny and bright. The newer, reproduction windshield, is perfect without any scratches or cracks. The beautiful red interior still has both door panels and dash, pieces that are commonly lost over the years. The wheels have some discoloring but are still nice and shiny. The tires are original and do not show any cracks or flat spots. The base plate is perfect, no scratches or chips noticed.

The Pontiac Firebird, Model 343, debuted just after the Chevrolet Camaro, Model 338 in early 1970. Corgi planned to give it the Golden Jacks with the Take-off Wheels as well, but they changed their mind at the last minute and introduced it with the new WhizzWheels with the red dot center. These vintage, Corgi models, have become more popular in recent years than they were when they were new, and they still bring a sparkle to the eyes of the young at heart!!
